Luggage will change the way you travel

Everyone has their favorite luggage – it could be a purse, dare-we-say fanny pack (yes, they’re making a comeback no matter how they’re carried), backpack, duffel, or suitcase.

I have two fave pieces I travel with … no, three … they go with me on every trip.  My backpack that accommodates my electronics and camera, my small shoulder purse that I can actually put in my backpack, and my 4-wheeled, rolling/spinning poly-carbonate luggage.  Why are they my favorite?  Because …

·       Backpack. I carry a tablet, phone, and camera. Yep – the kind of camera you have changeable lenses on – but the photos are amazing and a higher pixel than the phone. Don’t get me wrong, the phone photos are great, but sometimes I just want a little more oomph on my photo. All that fits into the backpack that I can easily access.

·       Small shoulder purse.  It has a metal chain for a little more safety and carries my essentials all zipped up. And then I can fit it into the backpack when I need to reach my personal item limit.  No specific brand here, just found a good travel one and with the chain, I can use it to dress up an outfit a bit.

·       Rolling luggage. Poly-carbonate specifically.  It doesn’t have to spin, but believe me everything is so much easier when you have the correct tools.  Travel is no different.  Take out the constant hoisting and struggling with luggage and push it along with a finger in the airport.   Why poly-carbonate - because it is so lite and really does give you those few pounds more of luggage.   I’ve gone through several and my favorite brand is Rimowa® and I like their color options.

·       Okay, one more … I take a Baggallini® tote bag on some trips where I need to be able to have several things with me daily.  It accommodates my camera, phone, water bottles, purse, scarf, tissues, umbrella, small items I pick up shopping, snacks, you name it.  AND I can carry it as a cross-body.  It has an anti-theft strap, is water resistant, and machine washable.

The more you travel, the more luggage moves from a give-me-what-you’ve-got item to a personal preference item, so find the one that’s best for you.

And by all means,if you go with a black piece, make sure to add something to the handle so you can find it in the sea of luggage on the carousel.  😉
