Everyone packs differently, and I will admit I am not a lite packer. I begin with the max weight and then reduce where needed.

What I like to travel with, though, are familiar scents - it could be a small travel bottle of my fave shampoo, a bath bomb (break the larger ones into smaller pieces), some shower scrub, an atomizer of my fave perfume, or one that always goes with me on my travels is a bottle of citrus essential oil.  Why citrus, you ask?  Because I love citrus.  It reminds me of home and when I smell it I go ‘ahhhh’.  It gets me on my new time zone quicker, too, as I adjust to my usual daily routine.

So next time you travel, consider taking something that reminds you of home and your daily routine.
