Hygiene & Airplane Travel
Airplane clothing … Comfort v. Style … does it have to be one or the other?
Let me paint a scenario and you decide. You’re packing a day or so ahead of time and planning your outfits. Everything is coordinating great, you’re going to be able mix and match, and you’ve got your basic black mixed in the wardrobe to do so. You start the trip out with your comfiest pants, a splash of color with your shirt and then a light scarf to accent. You are ready to travel.
You’re an hour into the flight and you have four more hours to go. You know you’re going to need to use the facilities – especially since you have had four cups of coffee and finished a bottle of water already (because you really do need to hydrate). You go to the facilities, see the floor is not so dry but it isn’t like you’ll be sitting on the floor, close the door, and begin the process. Needless to say, you have on wide-legged pants – your cutest palazzo pants. Think you can hang on to everything at the same time when the plane has a little turbulence? Think again as Murphy’s Law will kick in.
Our advice … wear something that does NOT go past your shoes when you need to use the facilities. They’ll stay off the floor and most importantly not absorb whatever you don’t want to think about being on the floor to begin with. After all, you likely aren’t the only one using those facilities.
Do you have to choose between comfort and style? Not necessarily – just choose wisely for the situation.
